Eastside Elementary — Power System Analysis & BIM Coordination

Independent validation of the electrical system for a new 56,000 SF, two-story school during construction.

Project overview

BIM model of a two-story school building

Progresíve provided electrical system analysis, field coordination, and BIM integration during construction of a new two-story educational facility, covering service entrance equipment, generators, transfer switches, switchboards, panelboards, and transformers.

Our comprehensive report included short-circuit analysis, time-current coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis on all equipment, feeders, and branch circuits, EasyPower motor-start evaluations, and NFPA 70E labeling. Weekly cross-discipline meetings with the contractor kept the installation constructible.

Highlights

  • Complete short-circuit, TCC & arc flash study
  • 0.5 MW generator sequencing
  • Weekly contractor coordination
  • Full-building BIM model
  • Completed on schedule with no change orders
  • Equipment ratings evaluated against updated fault currents
  • Temporary power kept mission-critical functions running during construction
